This is one of our favorite places to paddle within 30 min of DeLand! We launch at the CR 445 bridge, just a mile from the Alexander Springs Recreation Area and paddle the nearly 1 mile up stream to the springs. You can moor and swim at the springs for a nominal fee of $2 paid to the state park.

Oftentimes we see many birds, turtles, some alligators and even otters on this paddle! It’s a pretty quiet waterway, and a great place for a beginner who’s interested in trying out paddle boarding for the first time.

Cost for the paddle is $50/pp, which includes:
