Earth Day Beach Cleanup w/ 4Ocean

On Earth Day we were joined by over 200 people, eager to help cleanup Daytona Beach. The usual hosts (Outsiders and Persimmon Hollow Brewing crews) and our sponsor (4Ocean) were out in force, with families in tow. This time we had substantial help from 4Ocean, who brought 5 of their employees and a box truck for hauling away trash. Andrew, one of 4Ocean’s co-founders, attended along with his mom, grandma, sister and her boyfriend.

We managed to remove 985lbs of trash and recycling off the beach! One family drove from as far as WEST VIRGINIA (!!!) to attend this cleanup. The West family were five strong, and drove for about 800 miles to help us remove trash from the beach. Many others drove from all over Florida, including Jacksonville, Orlando and Merritt Island.

We always have a blast at these events and particularly enjoyed sharing a free beer and lots of smiles and laughs with our earth-conscious friends. With a running total of 3,929lbs collected, we’re well on our way to our goal of 5,000lbs this year!

THANK YOU so much to everyone who attended. We hope to see you at the next one!
